Big Sister Celebration

My brother, Sye, joined my youngest daughter Anneke and I today. It was to celebrate the beginning of her countdown to becoming a big sister. After being the baby for 5 1/2 years, I imagine it will not always be easy for her having a new brother. However, a celebration was in order. So, we went out for lunch(a rare treat nowadays with our tight budget)and made a big sister countdown calender. Hooray for Big Sisters!!!!

We got our paperwork back. Glad they had decided to finally open up the envelope and send it back. So, overnighted to the right place. Praying it goes quickly!!

Booking tickets

I talked to Bob the co-ordinator at Family Outreach International today, and he told me to book our tickets as they will just continue to get more expensive.
No news on our sponsorship forms coming back, which kind of stresses me out, no TA either, praying that Monday will bring both to me, so we can hopefully have our sponsorship expedited.
So please pray it all comes quickly and peace for a mommy who wants all her ducks lined up in a row, very soon.

It's like waiting for a boyfriend to call

Tomorrow Kevin and I have officially waited 38 days for our Travel Approval. We are breaking records, and not in a good way.
Also found out that I had sent our sponsorship paperwork for Noah to the wrong department in the wrong city, setting us back by quite some time. Usually sponsorship for an adopted child takes 10 business days, just waiting to get that paperwork back to express post it to ontario.

some things about Noah

At the end of November, we were allowed to ask 10 questions about Noah, and received this information. It is exciting to find out about our little guy's personality!!!

hating the cavity, loving the dentist

I had to get a filling fixed on Monday, but, the silver lining to that cloud was-a donation of toothbrushes. so thankyou Dental Divas and Dr. Sandilands!
Also found diaper cream for on sale for $3, regularly $9, so I scooped them all up. I have been told that diaper cream is needed by the orphanages. Along with childrens tylenol/ibuprofen, and teething ointment.

Homemade crayons

well nesting led to me finding large amounts of old crayons. Instead of throwing them out, I thought, why not make a craft. I knew we had old ikea ice cube trays sitting around(since we do not use plastic anymore, I thought what a better way to use them) and well as you can see, the kids had fun, and we got some cool crayons!

Well, another family who received there Letter Seeking Confirmation(in Alberta) the same day as us received their Travel Approval yesterday, so prayerfully that means ours will be here in the next week. Theoretically, we could travel at the end of Jan. beginning of Feb. But, because the next travel group leaves in march, we wait until than. Pray for patience for me!!!

Cleft Palate Bottles

So happy to say we have some cleft palate and lip bottles. The cleft lip and palate clinic at the Stollery is donating two boxes. So that I am thankful for. We will be picking the boxes up in the next few days. Praise God!!!!

Loving and Waiting

The adoption journey thus far has sometimes felt like mountains and valleys. Sometimes it has seemed like a breeze, and other times like my heart has been ripped out, and I have been humbled to my core!
This part of the journey, has by far been the most joyous, and lately has become harder and harder for me. I miss, I ACHE for Noah. It feels like part of my heart is missing, that it has been sent half way around the world to a little boy.
